Kothagudem police seized 424.95 kg of ganja worth Rs 2.12 crore from a truck at Venkatya Thanda, Tekulapally mandal. Two men were arrested, while two others remain absconding. Officials credited for the successful operation

Kothagudem: Police seized approximately 424.95 kg of ganja and arrested two individuals at Venkatya Thanda in Tekulapally mandal, Kothagudem district.
Speaking to the media at Tekulapally police station on Friday, Yellandu DSP Chandra Bhanu said that on Thursday evening, CCS and Tekulapally police discovered the ganja hidden in the cabin and under the seats of a truck during vehicle checks at Venkatya Thanda.
The seized ganja, valued at Rs. 2.12 crore, had been purchased and transported from Odisha to Rajasthan via Bhadrachalam and Paloncha. The arrested accused were identified as Prabhulal Gurjar and Shivraj Gurjar, while two others, Rambabu and Narayana Gurjar, are absconding.
The DSP commended Tekulapally CI Bathula Satyanarayana, SIs Rajender and Srikanth, and CCS CI Ramakanth and SI Praveen for their role in the seizure.
