Kothagudem police win big in zonal level police duty meet competitions
Personnel from four districts of Bhadradri zone; Warangal, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Mahabubabad districts participated in the competitions in various categories.
Kothagudem: Police officials and personnel from the district excelled at zonal level police duty meet competitions making the district stand at second place.
The duty meet was held in Warangal on October 3 and 4 where police officers and personnel from four districts of Bhadradri zone; Warangal, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Mahabubabad districts participated in the competitions in various categories.
Kothagudem police won 22 medals- seven gold and silver medals each and eight bronze medals- in the competitions. Warangal Commissioner of Police Ambar Kishor Jha released results of the competition on October 8, presented medals to winners and congratulated them.
Superintendent of Police B Rohith Raju met the medal winners at his office here on Thursday and congratulated them. Zonal, state and national level police duty meet competitions were being organised every year to help personnel and officials to improve their capacity and show their talent in crime investigation and others, he said.
The SP wished the district police to outshine in the State level duty meet competitions to be held in Hyderabad from October 13 and win more medals for the district. He appreciated DCRB Mallaiah Swamy, who acted as nodal officer; clues team CI Ashok Kumar, IT core CI Nagaraju Reddy and Aswapuram CI Ashok Reddy who acted as coordinators.
Ashwaraopet CI T Karunakar won two gold medals, one silver and bronze medal, Kothagudem one-town CI M Karunakar- one gold and silver, Kothagudem two-town CI T Ramesh- one silver and bronze, Julurupad SI Rana Pratap- one gold, Chandrugonda SI G Swapna- two silver, Yellandu SI P Nagul Meera-one silver, PRO SP office D Srinivas- two silver, sniffer dog handlers SK. Hussain, T Venkatesh and M Mahesh- one gold medal each, bomb disposal team member G Naresh- two bronze, the team members R Prasanth and M Babu Rao- one bronze each and a constable K.Narender won one bronze medal in videography.
