Kothagudem: Rs 73.14 lakh insurance claim settled in Lok Adalat
As many as 4313 cases have been settled at the National Lok Adalat held at different courts in the district on Saturday.
Kothagudem: The district principal judge Patil Vasanth here on Saturday handed over a cash cheque of Rs 73.14 lakh to a family towards an insurance claim settled in Lok Adalat.
It was said that on February 14, 2022, a person Banoth Ravi Kumar while going to his house at 3-Incline thanda of Chunchupally mandal the motorbike on which he was travelling was hit by a speeding car from behind at Nava Bharat Venkateswara temple.
Ravi Kumar suffered severe head injuries, went into a coma and later died while being treated in a hospital. Lawyers B Madhav Rao and Banoth Devdasu filed a motor accident case in Kothagudem court on behalf of Ravi Kumar’s wife Vinoda.
As the case was settled the cash cheque was handed over to Vinoda by the judge through SBI deputy manager A Mohana. As many as 4313 cases have been settled at the National Lok Adalat held at different courts in the district on Saturday.
