The SP held a conference via police communication set with the officials and personnel working at police stations in the district on Tuesday in the wake of recent incidents in the department.
He asked them to bring their problems to his attention personally while informing that he would be available to them on every Thursday to look into their grievances.

It was very sad to take lives in a momentary rage without thinking about their families. Policemen should be strong physically and mentally and should bring a good name to the police department by carrying out their duties honestly and effectively, he said.
The district police have a good reputation for their effectiveness in maintaining law and order, duties during floods, in curbing Maoist’s activities and preventing ganja smuggling, the SP noted.
He asked everyone to work responsibly by staying away from bad habits and serving the people with good behaviour. When some of the police brought their problems to SP’s notice during the conference he assured them that he would solve them.
