KPHB, Rovers register easy win Basketball Championship

Playing on their home court and enjoying tactical advantage, KPHB had the measure of Trinity. Aravind and Sai Krishna were the architects of KPHB’s win.

Hyderabad: KPHB Basketball Club, Hyderabad Rovers and G 9 stayed on course to qualify for Level 2 after registering victories in their round robin matches of the Annual League Basketball Championship of The Hyderabad District Basketball Association. KPHB defeated Trinity Basketball 88-77 while G9 beat RR Club 72-53.  

Playing on their home court and enjoying tactical advantage, KPHB had the measure of Trinity. Aravind and Sai Krishna were the architects of KPHB’s win.


In another match Hyderabad Rovers continued their impressive run as they recorded a 51-24 win over Rahimpura Playground. Tharun and Mahesh stole the limelight with their incisive breaks for the winners.

Led by Dinesh Kumar and Shravan, G9 coasted away to an easy win.

Results: KPHB Basketball Club 88 (Aravind 23 Sai Krishna 21) bt Trinity Basketball Club 77(Thinny 25 Raghav 18); Hyderabd Rovers 51 (Tharun 16 Mahesh 8) bt Rahimpura Playground 24(Chandrakanth 12 Vaidyanath 8); G 9 72 (Dinesh Kumar 18 Shravan 16 Sreekanth 12) bt RR Club 53(Rakesh 18 Sai 14).
