KPHB score impressive victory in Annual League Basketball Championship

Trinity Basketball Club were on course for a promotion to Level 2 after rallying to defeat Rising Stars Hyderabad winning 55-37 after trailing by 3 points (27-30) at the breather.

Hyderabad: Churning out yet impressive performance Kukatpally Housing Board (KPHB) Basketball Club recorded a 62-44 win over Sunday Basketballers in the Annual League Basketball Championship of the Hyderabad District Basketball Association. 

Meanwhile, Trinity Basketball Club were on course for a promotion to Level 2 after rallying to defeat Rising Stars Hyderabad winning 55-37 after trailing by 3 points (27-30) at the breather.


In the KPHB-Basketball Club match, Sai Krishna once again led the scoring pack for KPHB and with good assistance from Naga Akhil who excelled in drive in and long range shots as the winners enjoyed more possession of the ball. For Sunday Basketballers, Abhiram and Anudeep played well.

Changing their tactics when they employed man-to-man marking, Trinity Basketball Club overcame Rising Stars’ challenge. Hunny and Mahesh were among the top scorers for Trinity while Sai Kamal and Aditya shared the honours for Rising Stars Hyderabad.

Results:  KPHB Basketball Club 62 (Sai Krishna 16, Naga Akhil 11) bt Sunday Basketballers 44 (Abhiram 10 Anudeep 6); Trinity Basketball Club 55 (Hunny 17, Mahesh 12) bt Rising Stars Hyderabad 37 (Sai Kamal 13 Aditya 11)Naga Akhil of KPHB scoring from a lay up shot and a jump shot against Sunday Basketballers.
