‘Delta’ is a common word at Kristen Bell’s house every day, but it is not because of the reason you are thinking of. If you didn’t know, Kristen‘s six-year-old daughter with Dax Shepard is named Delta, just like the new Covid-19 variant that’s taking over the world right now.
It’s not a surprise then that Kristen is not too happy with her choice of name for her younger daughter. She recently chatted with co-host Monica Padman on their podcast ‘We Are Supported By…’ about the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, and how the new variant is affecting their family.
“Can I ask you a real talk question — how do you feel about Delta’s name being Delta right now?” Monica asked.
“It’s a big, big bummer,” Kristen responded, as per Just Jared. “But I’m really hoping that the delta variant won’t be as strong as the original Covid and people will still say corona.”
Little Delta is excited that her name is so famous right now. “She’s 6 so she’s impressed every time she sees a Delta Airlines ad or anything,” the 41 year-old star explained. “She’s like ‘Oh my gosh, my name!’ So every time she hears anyone talk about the variant, she’s like ‘My name!’ So she’s still excited about it.”
