Kriti Sanon slams paparazzi for covering Sidharth Shukla’s funeral
Breaks my heart to see our media, photographers, and even online portals being so insensitive. Shameful! This isn’t “News”, nor is it “Entertainment”! Draw some boundaries! Have a conscience! Said it before, Saying it again! STOP covering funerals (sic).
Hyderabad: Television actor Sidharth Shukla’s untimely demise upset the entire nation, especially his fans and friends in the industry apart from his family. Sidharth had suffered a cardiac arrest on September 2 at the young age of 40. While his grieving family and other loved ones needed some privacy to mourn and take care of his last rites, some section of the paparazzi was seen hounding them at the crematorium. Kriti Sanon took to her social media account to slam them.
“Breaks my heart to see our media, photographers, and even online portals being so insensitive. Shameful! This isn’t “News”, nor is it “Entertainment”! Draw some boundaries! Have a conscience! Said it before, Saying it again! STOP covering funerals (sic).” Kriti wrote.
“Stop hounding people who are dealing with personal loss by flashing your camera in their face at their most vulnerable time ! And for what? A few posts? Online portals and channels are equally at fault: Take a stand, DON’T post those pictures and videos ! Stop faking sensitivity by just writing “Heartbreaking” in the captions of such inhuman insensitive posts (sic),” the ‘Mimi’ actor added.
Earlier, even Anushka Sharma had hit back at the paparazzi by sharing a poem of Zakir Khan talking about crossing certain lines. She even conducted a poll on her Instagram Stories asking her followers if they would be interested to watch an actor’s funeral or not in reality. Several actors have been speaking out about the media’s insensitive coverage of Shukla’s funeral.
