Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao held the Revanth Reddy government responsible for transforming Telangana into a mafia regime.

Congress leaders were looting the State like gangsters at gunpoint, destroying peace and harmony within two years, he said while welcoming several hotel workers and leaders from the Telangana All Small Hotels, Restaurants, and Bakeries Unorganised Workers Union and Jubilee Hills Hotels and Restaurant Workers Union into the BRS fold at Telangana Bhavan on Sunday.

The unions extended their complete support to the BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha Gopinath and vowed to mobilise workers to ensure her victory. A massive public meeting with Rama Rao and Sunitha would soon be organised to consolidate worker support in the constituency.

Addressing them, Rama Rao said hotel workers from different States come to Hyderabad seeking livelihood and a peaceful life. While they never faced any harassment under the BRS rule, the situation was different under the Congress regime. “Today, the State is being run by rowdysheeters and gangsters, who are least bothered about the State’s development,” he said.

The Congress had destroyed the State and the city within just two years, he said, adding that if they voted for the Congress, a bulldozer would reach their doorstep. “But if you want peace and progress, vote for the car symbol,” he urged.
