Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s “mortuary” remarks against former Chief Minister and BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao has triggered a political war of words in the State, with BRS leaders criticising Revanth Reddy for hitting a new low in political rhetoric.
BRS working president KT Rama Rao and senior MLA T Harish Rao lashed out at the Chief Minister for his cheap remarks. Rama Rao hit back at Revanth for the latter’s comment that Chandrashekhar Rao, who once spoke of stature, was now on a stretcher and would soon be in the mortuary.
“This mad dog has crossed every single limit of decency. I request his family to take him to a mental health facility or else, in his frustrated state, he might start biting everyone around. Get well soon, Cheap Minister,” he posted on X, referring to Revanth Reddy.
Harish Rao also slammed Revanth Reddy, accusing him of lacking political maturity.
“The Chief Minister is a narrow-minded person who wishes for the death of Opposition leaders,” he said, finding fault with the Chief Minister for using government platforms for political attacks and exposing his insecurity and paranoia.
He reminded that the BRS government had provided 1.62 lakh jobs in nine and a half years, while Revanth Reddy had managed only 5,000 in 15 months.
“All the jobs he boasts of were from notifications issued during the BRS regime. How long will he keep distributing appointment letters for job notifications issued by the K Chandrashekhar Rao government?” he asked, asking Revanth Reddy to start behaving like a Chief Minister and stop playing petty games.
