Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao accused the Congress government of reneging on its promise to return lands acquired from farmers for Hyderabad Pharma City. Responding to ongoing protests by farmers demanding the return of their lands, he said the Congress had promised to restore all acquired lands if voted to power.
“Now while the farmers are demanding that the Congress fulfil its promise, the same lands are being sold at Rs 4 crore an acre by calling it Future City,” he said.
He also targeted Congress Lok Sabha leader Rahul Gandhi, alleging that he had handed over the State to a real estate dealer, in an indirect reference to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.
