KTR advises students to gain knowledge through education

Rama Rao said Telangana was the only state which was providing quality education to poor students by setting up 945 residential schools.

Rajanna Sircilla: IT and Municipal Administration Minister, KT Rama Rao wanted the students to gain knowledge through education instead of studying subjects for the purpose of jobs.
Rama Rao inaugurated the renovated Zilla Parishad High School in Sircilla on Monday. The renovated school buildings has all the facilities on par with the corporate schools. The school was developed under public and private (Divis) partnership by spending Rs 3 crore.

Speaking on the occasion, Rama Rao said Telangana was the only state which was providing quality education to poor students by setting up 945 residential schools. Per annum, an amount of Rs 1.25 lakh is being spent on each student.

Surprisingly, students pursuing education in welfare schools were getting national level ranks. Telangana is the only state which was providing Rs 29 lakh education loan to pursue higher studies foreign countries. Besides education, students should also involve in sports activities to maintain physical as well as mental fitness, Minister advised.

Talking about Sircilla ZP high school, Rama Rao opined that the school got corporate level recognition since it was developed with modern facilities under public and private partnership. Besides 39 classrooms and a computer lab, a huge dining hall to ensure 400 students to have meals at one go was also developed. ZP school, which was established in 1960, groomed scores of people. Corporate level facilities were developed in the school with the help of philanthropists.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao wanted to develop such kind of schools across the state, Rama Rao informed.
