KTR asks BRS cadre to ensure no eligible voter is left out

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao directed the party leaders to ensure that no eligible voter is removed from the electoral rolls during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise. He also asked them to identify duplicate and ineligible names and ensure their removal. He urged the party cadre to stay fully engaged in the exercise till August 3.

Rama Rao chaired a review meeting with the party’s SIR committee at his Nandinagar residence on Wednesday, where he was informed about the progress of the programme and the challenges being faced in the field.

He stated that lakhs of voters had been placed in the notice category due to incomplete details. He asked party workers to immediately assist such voters after they receive notices and ensure that eligible names remain on the electoral rolls.

The BRS working president said the next crucial phase would begin after the draft electoral rolls are published on August 10. He directed leaders to thoroughly verify the draft list and actively participate in the claims and objections process to include eligible voters and remove duplicate entries.

Describing the SIR exercise as a mission, Rama Rao called for close coordination among constituency in-charges, membership in-charges, general secretaries and coordinators. He instructed the party to strengthen coordination down to the booth level and continuously review progress in every district and constituency, with a special focus on areas lagging behind.
