Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao backed Congress MLA from Munugode Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy’s allegations of rampant corruption in the Congress government.

“I fully agree with Rajgopal Reddy’s remarks on corruption in Telangana. While 500 conditions are imposed on a poor person seeking Rs 5 lakh to Rs 6 lakh to build a house, the Chief Minister and Revenue Minister are siphoning off lakhs of crores through corruption,” Rama Rao said.

Speaking to media persons, he said the Revenue Minister, Chief Minister and other senior Congress leaders were facing serious corruption allegations from their own party MLA.

The BRS working president alleged that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi had effectively turned the Telangana Congress into an ATM for himself and the AICC.

“Rahul Gandhi should listen to his own party legislators, who are openly speaking about the extent of corruption in Telangana,” Rama Rao said.

He also urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take note of the charges levelled by the Congress MLA against the Congress government in the State.

“Modiji repeatedly calls Telangana an ATM for the AICC, but no real action follows. Even after an ED raid on a Minister in Telangana, there has been no further action,” Rama Rao said.

NALSAR issue

The BRS working president complimented NALSAR students for sending a clear message that India’s youth would react if their dignity and self-respect were attacked.

He also thanked the Chief Justice of India for stepping forward and acknowledging the issue involving the judiciary and students.

“I hope and pray that such an incident, an instance of overreach, is never repeated in India. I also hope the voice of the oppressed and the voice of people of India continue to rise and echo ever more strongly in the days to come,” Rama Rao added.
