Hyderabad: Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao called out yet another fraud by the BJP government at the Centre on Telangana State. He came down heavily on the statement of union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw that there is no possibility of setting up Kazipet Railway Coach Factory in the State and termed it as down right cheating and deception.

Reacting to the Railway Minister’s remarks, Rama Rao reminded that establishment of the railway coach factory was one of the assurances under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act. After showing discrimination towards sanction of similar assurances like ITIR project, Bayyaram Steel Plant, and the national status to the Irrigation projects etc made in the Parliament, the union Minister’s statement on Kazipet Railway Coach Factory was nothing but an extension of the discrimination policy of the Centre on Telangana State.

“The Centre evaded its responsibility of setting up the Railway Coach factory which is a death blow to the Telangana’s interests and an outright cheating of its people,” Rama Rao remarked. Further, he expressed his anguish that several memoranda were submitted to the Centre by the Chief Minister, Ministers and MPs even as the State government handed over 150 acres for the project, but in vain.

The Minister pointed out that the Centre went back on its promises earlier in 2017 and stated that there was no need for any railway coach factories in the country. However, it has announced establishment of the Marathwada Railway Coach factory in Latur in Maharashtra in 2018, due to its political interests. “By dumping the assurance of the Kazipet Coach Factory given on the floor of the Parliament, Prime Minister Narendra Modi showed his utter contempt against the development in Telangana State and his conspiracy against the people in the State. The Centre is meting out injustice to the Telangana State especially to those unemployed youth in Warangal region who are eagerly waiting for the jobs,” he said.

Rama Rao said people in Telangana State would definitely reject the cheating policies of the BJP government at the Centre. He demanded that the Centre fulfill all its the assurances as a Constitutional obligation, failing which a movement would be launched till the Centre agrees to establish the Kazipet Railway Coach Factory. “The State government would fight on behalf of the people. The BJP Minister, MPs and leaders should answer on the double standards of their party against Telangana, if they still have any sense prevailing in them. Else, the Telangana people would chase them away,” he declared.
