Kumram Bheem Asifabad: IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao came to the rescue of two children who were orphaned by the death of their parents. He responded to a tweet by a scribe of Kumram Bheem Asifabad district on Wednesday.

Rama Rao requested officials of Women and Child Welfare Department and Collector of Kumram Bheem Asifabad district to take care of the kids Dharani and Raghavendra belonging to Ankushapur village in Asifabad mandal. His act of kindness brought respite to the two children whose mother died of some ailment in the past, while Covid-19 claimed the life of their father.

Ramji and Tarabai, grandparents of the kids, expressed gratitude to Rama Rao for responding to the tweet. “We are relieved by the assurance of the Minister,” they said. They stated that Suvarnalatha, the mother of Dharani and Raghavendhra died of certain disease after three years following her wedding and their father Venkataswamy, succumbed to Covid-19 in May last.

In the meantime, Asifabad Inspector Akula Ashok handed over financial aid of Rs 25,000 to Ramji and Tarabai and assured all help. The relief was donated by Non-Resident of India Kotipalli Venkata Mahesh. Ramji and Tarabi thanked the police official and Venkata Mahesh for extending a helping hand.
