Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao condemned the arrest of party general secretary RS Praveen Kumar and other leaders in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district, calling it an act of “cowardice” by the Revanth Reddy government. The leaders were detained for supporting Dinda village farmers demanding land titles for Podu lands.
Rama Rao said the government was not only making illegal arrests of tribal farmers but also unlawfully detaining those fighting on their behalf.
“Stop harassing tribal farmers and give them land titles immediately. Stop the conspiratorial arrests and release all detained leaders, including RS Praveen Kumar, from Kautala police custody,” he demanded.
He said the Congress regime was mocking democracy and harshly attacking BRS leaders who were standing with the people. He warned that the fall of the Revanth Reddy government was imminent.
