Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao condemned the police brutality on BRS activist M Narsinga Rao for confronting Medak MLA Mynampally Rohith on his derogatory remarks against BRS president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. He appreciated Narsinga Rao’s boldness in questioning the MLA, terming it an inspiration to lakhs of party workers and assured him the party’s full support.
Rama Rao who met Narsinga Rao on Tuesday, said the latter’s strong rebuttal to Mynampally Rohith showed that even an ordinary BRS activist will not tolerate insults to the party founder. He strongly condemned the alleged third-degree torture inflicted on Narsinga Rao by Medak police, particularly the local Circle Inspector. He charged the police with acting unlawfully under political pressure and warned that such officers will not be spared.
“We are taking note of every official involved in this anarchy. The list is being prepared, and action will be taken once BRS returns to power,” he warned. He added that legal action also will be initiated against the officers responsible. He assured that the party would cover all medical expenses and stand firmly by Narsinga Rao and his family.
