Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao strongly condemned the Delhi Police’s use of force against peaceful and unarmed protesters, calling it extremely undemocratic and shameful. He demanded that the Centre immediately stop muzzling dissent.
“You cannot answer questions with lathis and tear gas,” he said in a statement.
Emphasising the constitutional right to dissent, Rama Rao said every citizen has the right to question those in power and asserted that such rights cannot be suppressed through force. He expressed solidarity with every student and citizen seeking accountability through peaceful means. He also appealed to the protesters to remain safe.
