Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao condoled the demise of former Union Minister Kavuri Sambasiva Rao and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace. He termed his death as a loss to people and conveyed sympathies to the bereaved family.

In a statement, Rama Rao recalled Sambasiva Rao’s support to the textile sector during the Telangana movement. He said that during the peak of the Telangana agitation in 2013, he had invited Kavuri Sambasiva Rao, then Union Textile Minister, to Sircilla.


He said the former Union Minister visited the constituency and extended support to the powerloom industry at a crucial time.
