KTR congratulates Azad Engineering, DRDO on indigenous jet engine
BRS working president KT Rama Rao congratulated Azad Engineering and DRDO on manufacturing India's first indigenous 350-kg thrust-class expendable turbojet engine. He said the achievement strengthens India's defence self-reliance and reinforces Hyderabad's position as a global aerospace and precision engineering hub.
Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao congratulated Azad Engineering and DRDO on the successful manufacturing and delivery of India’s first indigenous 350-kg thrust-class expendable turbojet engine. He emphasised that jet engine technology demanded exceptional precision, advanced metallurgy and world-class manufacturing.
Calling it a proud milestone for Hyderabad and India, Rama Rao said the achievement had significantly strengthened the country’s indigenous propulsion capabilities and defence self-reliance. He said the development reflected the growth of Hyderabad’s aerospace and precision engineering ecosystem, which was built over decades and significantly strengthened over the last decade. “It is another boost to the city’s reputation as a global aerospace hub,” he added.
