Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao criticised Minister Jupally Krishna Rao for reportedly instigating an attack on the Dalits at Pentavelli village in Nagarkurnool district on Tuesday, for urging the government not to resume lands given to them previously. He demanded that the Minister should apologise for his actions.
Reacting to news reports about the incident, Rama Rao slammed the State government for being harsh against those fighting for their rights. He demanded justice for Dalits without the seizure of land that was previously granted to them.
“The Dalits did not ask for your land. They are only asking you not to resume the lands given to them in the past,” he said, targeting Minister Jupally Krishna Rao. He added that deploying security forces to suppress their rightful demands would only deepen the injustice.
He warned the government not to forget the natural principle that oppression leads to rebellion and the Congress will bear the brunt of the Dalits, for its actions,” he cautioned.
