KTR flays Congress govt over delay in shifting Mudirajs from BC-D to BC-A

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao flayed the Congress government over the delay in implementing its promise to shift the Mudiraj community from BC-D to BC-A category nearly three years after assuming power. He demanded that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy make a clear statement on the issue during his visit to Sircilla on September 30 and implement it without further delay.
He raised the issue when leaders of the Rajanna Sircilla district Mudiraj Welfare Association met him at Telangana Bhavan on Monday. Leaders belonging to different political parties attended the meeting.
Rama Rao congratulated the Mudiraj leaders on the success of the recent Mudiraj Simha Garjana public meeting in Sircilla, which demanded their reclassification from BC-D to BC-A. He said the BRS would stand by the Mudiraj community until its demand was fulfilled and continue its fight for their rights.
The Mudiraj community leaders thanked Rama Rao for supporting their cause and said they would continue their agitation unitedly until the demand was fulfilled. They also felicitated him and presented him with a portrait of Goddess Peddamma Thalli.
