Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao raised alarm over unabated destruction of greenery by the Congress government in the lands abutting the University of Hyderabad despite High Court orders.

He demanded Congress Lok Sabha leader Rahul Gandhi speak up or take responsibility for the destruction. “If you don’t speak up now, it’s on you Mr Rahul Gandhi,” he posted on X.

Rama Rao termed the removal of trees as brazen green murder by destroying 400 acres of precious lung space in western Hyderabad. He stated that people could hear the peacocks crying for help as the bulldozers and JCBs deployed by the government went around destroying the trees round-the-clock.
