KTR extends financial assistance to young IIT student from Warangal

Hyderabad: IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao lent a helping hand to a young IIT student from Warangal who could not afford to pay the tuition fee. The IITian and her family thanked the Minister for arranging to pay her entire fee, following a simple request from her.
Mekala Anjali from Hasanparthy in Warangal district, secured a seat in IIT-Indore two years ago. As she hailed from a poor family, Anjali approached Minister KT Rama Rao and sought his help. Responding to her plea, he had been funding her tuition fee and other educational expenses in a personal capacity, for the last two years.
The Minister on Wednesday handed over cheques towards payment of her tuition for the current and the final year of her education next year, to Anjali in the presence of her parents. He asked her about studies and her performance as well as her future plan. He wished her to achieve more success in future and assured his support.
