KTR extends financial support to senior video journalist’s family

BRS working president KT Rama Rao has provided financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the family of senior video journalist Damodar, who died of a heart attack in December.

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao extended financial support to the family of senior video journalist Damodar, who passed away due to a heart attack on December 5 last year in Jeedimetla. He had earlier visited the bereaved family and assured them of full support.

Fulfilling his assurance, Rama Rao extended financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh in his personal capacity. On his behalf, Kukatpally MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao visited Damodar’s residence and handed over the cheque. He also assured the family that the party would continue to stand by them in the future.

Damodar suffered a heart attack and was admitted to a hospital. Learning about his condition, the BRS working president sent MLAs Madhavaram Krishna Rao, KP Vivekananda, and MLC Shambipur Raju to the hospital to ensure the best possible medical treatment. However, despite the efforts, Damodar did not respond to treatment and passed away.
