Hyderabad: Handlooms Minister KT Rama Rao felicitated weavers Kolanu Padda Venkaiah, Kolanu Ravinder, Gajam Bhagwan, who won National awards and Saini Bharat, Dudhala Shankar and Tadaka Rameshgar, who bagged merit certificates in handlooms, at his chambers in the Assembly premises. The Minister congratulated the award winners and said they had brought great fame to Telangana with their professionalism.
He said Telangana was home to several weavers who can bring laurels and make the country proud. The State government will continue to promote and support such weavers, said Rama Rao. The welfare schemes introduced by the State government will aid in development of the handloom sector, he said adding Telangana government was committed to the welfare of weavers.
