KTR, Harish Rao pay tributes to Prof Jayashankar
BRS leaders KT Rama Rao and T Harish Rao paid tributes to Telangana ideologue Prof K Jayashankar on his birth anniversary, remembering his contribution to the statehood movement. They highlighted his ideological influence, association with K Chandrashekhar Rao and lasting legacy
Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao and BRSLP deputy leader T Harish Rao paid rich tributes to Telangana ideologue Prof K Jayashankar on his birth anniversary, recalling his lifelong commitment and contribution to the Telangana statehood movement.
Rama Rao termed Jayashankar as Telangana’s guiding light and a source of ideological inspiration, who devoted his entire life to the single goal of achieving statehood. He recalled Jayashankar’s close association with BRS chief and the movement leader K Chandrashekhar Rao and his role in spreading Telangana ideology and awakening people during the movement.
He said the previous BRS government honoured his services by naming Bhupalapally district and an agricultural university after him.
Harish Rao called Jayashankar as a symbol of the aspirations of four-and-a-half crore Telangana people and hailed his lifelong struggle for statehood. He reminded that former Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao ensured that Jayashankar’s life and contributions were included in textbooks to inspire future generations.
He also recalled the naming of the agricultural university and Bhupalapally district after Jayashankar and the decision to observe his birth and death anniversaries officially. He said following his path and pursuing his ideals would be the true tribute to the Telangana ideologue.
