Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao and BRS legislature party deputy leader T Harish Rao on Wednesday recalled the Sagaraharam protest of September 30, 2012, marking its 14th anniversary. They hailed the spirit of the movement and those who participated in the historic protest.

Taking to X, Rama Rao described the protest as a historic phase of the Telangana movement, during which activists defied restrictions, barricades, lathi charges and rubber bullets to press the demand for a separate State.

Harish Rao said lakhs of people from Telangana converged on Necklace Road despite heavy restrictions, turning it into a sea of people and raising “Jai Telangana” slogans.
