Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Tuesday criticised the registration of an FIR against party spokesperson Manne Krishank, alleging that the Congress government was using police cases to suppress questions over Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s alleged corruption and election promises. He termed Revanth Reddy as Rahul Gandhi‘s unlimited ATM and Feku Gandhi of 420 promises.
“File as many as you want Mr. Feku Gandhi; BRS will continue to expose the corrupt Congress thugs. This is my promise to you. Many more to come, (sic)” Rama Rao said in a post on X, reacting to the case.
Hyderabad Cyber Crime police registered the case on October 5 based on a complaint by Congress leader Mettu Sai Kumar. Krishank, ‘MR Media Telangana’ and others were named as accused under Sections 353(2) and 352 of the BNS. The complaint is reportedly related to Krishank’s remarks and published material questioning alleged corruption involving the Chief Minister’s family.
Krishank said the ruling party or the Chief Minister’s family should answer questions raised at a press conference instead of filing cases. He termed the FIR over a press conference a new low in Telangana.
