Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao lashed out at the Congress government for its anti-people policies over the past 22 months, which he said had pushed Hyderabad into economic decline. He predicted a landslide victory for the party in the upcoming Jubilee Hills by-election, asserting that people have seen the stark difference between the two regimes.
Chairing a party meeting on the Jubilee Hills bypoll on Tuesday, Rama Rao said Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s rule created uncertainty among the citizens, which in turn affected all sectors. “Unlike the BRS government, which turned Hyderabad into Telangana’s economic engine for a decade, the Congress has completely ruined the urban economy with its incompetence,” he said.
Every section of society has suffered due to the Congress’s policies and people were waiting for the BRS to return to power to revive Hyderabad’s growth, he said, giving a clarion call to resume the BRS’s victory trail from Jubilee Hills, marking the beginning of the party’s renewed fight to reclaim the people’s mandate.
The meeting also focused on bypoll strategies, with senior leaders pledging to work in coordination.
