KTR interacts with SMEs, vaccine maker, and food processing businesses in Paris

Hyderabad: A Telangana delegation headed by IT and Industries Minister KT Rama rao met the top managements of several French business houses and explained the collaboration opportunities available in Telangana for the French small and medium enterprises.
He interacted with Geraldine Lemle, Deputy CEO, Movement of the Enterprises of France (MEDEF) in Paris. MEDEF is the largest employer federation in France and is also the leading network of entrepreneurs. Over 95 per cent of the businesses belonging to the MEDEF are SMEs.
Ramarao highlighted Telangana’s recent success in food grains, meat, milk and fish production. “These opened up several opportunities for food processing companies in Telangana,” he added.
Later, the minister toured Station F, the world’s largest incubator campus located in Paris. Station F is a unique campus and community with 1,000 startups. Originally a railway depot, this facility has been remodelled to transform it into an incubator. He discussed about a potential collaboration with Telangana’s innovation ecosystem organisations like T-Hub, We-Hub, and T-Works.
The visiting Telangana delegation also held a meeting with ADP Chairman and CEO Augustin de Romanet in Paris. ADP has recently invested in Hyderabad airport. In the meeting, Ramarao said that the aviation sector in India is on a rapid growth phase and the industry is poised to scale new heights as the pandemic related restrictions are getting eased.
Hyderabad is home to several major global aerospace companies, he said, stressing the importance of training and supplying quality manpower for the aerospace sector.
He also met Sanofi’s Head of International Operations Fabrice Baschiera and Head of Global Vaccines Public Affairs Isabelle Deschamps. Sanofi would soon be launching production of its six-in-one vaccine from its Hyderabad facility.
Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, Aerospace and Defence Director Praveen and Digital Media Director Dileep Konatham were present in the meetings.
