KTR invited to Bathukamma celebrations at Dubai’s Al Ahli Sports Club on October 11
ETCA-UAE has invited BRS working president KT Rama Rao to attend Bathukamma celebrations in Dubai as chief guest on October 11. During a meeting, Rama Rao also discussed the welfare, employment opportunities and challenges faced by Telangana workers in Gulf countries

Hyderabad: The Emirates Telangana Cultural and Welfare Association (ETCA-UAE) has invited BRS working president KT Rama Rao to attend the Bathukamma celebrations in the United Arab Emirates as the chief guest. The celebrations will be held at the Al Ahli Sports Club in Dubai on October 11, 2026.
ETCA representatives met Rama Rao at his residence in Nandi Nagar here on Friday and handed over the invitation. He also unveiled the poster for the celebrations. The representatives informed him that ETCA has been organising Bathukamma celebrations in the UAE on a grand scale for the past 16 years. Various cultural programmes are also organised every year to showcase Telangana’s culture and traditions.
Rama Rao enquires about Gulf workers
During the meeting, Rama Rao enquired about the conditions of Telangana workers in the Gulf, employment opportunities and the challenges they face. He also sought details about the living conditions and welfare of Telangana workers who have migrated to Gulf countries.
Rama Rao commended ETCA representatives for preserving Telangana’s culture and traditions while living in the Gulf and praised the efforts of diaspora associations in showcasing the State’s heritage to the world. He also appreciated ETCA for extending support to Gulf workers during difficult times and helping Telangana natives facing hardships. He assured the representatives that he would extend all possible support in addressing the issues faced by Telangana workers in the Gulf.
The ETCA representatives recalled Rama Rao’s efforts in resolving the problems of several Telangana natives stranded in Gulf countries for various reasons and facilitating their return home. They thanked him for his support in addressing the concerns of people from Telangana.
