Hyderabad: A BRS delegation will attend the funeral of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh to pay their respects. Acting on the instructions of party president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, a delegation of BRS MPs, led by the party working president KT Rama Rao, will participate in the ceremony.

In a statement, Chandrashekhar Rao remembered Dr Manmohan Singh as a visionary leader and the architect of India’s economic reforms. Pointing out the bond Telangana shares with the late leader, Chandrashekhar Rao recalled his tenure as a union Minister in Dr Manmohan Singh’s Cabinet. He also recalled the former Prime Minsiter’s understanding of Telangana’s aspirations.

“Dr Manmohan Singh played a pivotal role during the Telangana statehood movement and supported the State’s formation. His contributions to the nation and Telangana will always be remembered,” he stated.
