KTR to meet Jeevan Reddy, invite him to join BRS
BRS working president KT Rama Rao is set to meet veteran politician T Jeevan Reddy, who recently quit the Congress, in Jagtial on Thursday. The meeting is expected to pave the way for Reddy’s formal induction into the BRS on April 13 in the presence of party chief K Chandrashekhar Rao.

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao is set to meet former Minister and veteran politician T Jeevan Reddy, who recently quit the Congress. The meeting scheduled to be held on Thursday, gained significance amid speculation of Jeevan Reddy joining the BRS.
Rama Rao will first meet BRS leaders and elected representatives from the erstwhile Karimnagar district at the R&B Guest House in Karimnagar around noon, before heading to Jagtial.
He is scheduled to meet Jeevan Reddy at the latter’s residence at around 2.30 pm, where he is expected to formally invite him to join the BRS. Senior BRS leaders and elected representatives are likely to accompany him.
Sources said Rama Rao had already spoken to Jeevan Reddy over the phone on Wednesday, following discussions with party chief K Chandrashekhar Rao. The move is seen as part of the BRS’ efforts to strengthen its base in the region by inducting senior leaders.
Jeevan Reddy who is a seasoned politician, recently resigned from the Congress citing differences with the leadership and is now weighing his options. Party insiders indicated that modalities of his entry into the BRS have largely been finalised and he is likely to formally join the party in the presence of K Chandrashekhar Rao on April 13.
