KTR meets Australian envoy, discusses investment and tech collaboration
BRS working president KT Rama Rao met Australian High Commissioner Philip Green and Consul General Hillary McGeachy in Hyderabad to discuss investment opportunities, technology collaboration and educational partnerships aimed at strengthening Telangana-Australia economic relations and creating global opportunities for youth.

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao met Australian High Commissioner to India Philip Green and Consul General for Karnataka and Telangana, Hillary McGeachy at his Nandinagar residence in Hyderabad on Thursday. They held discussions on investment opportunities, technology collaboration and strategic partnerships between Australia and Telangana.
The meeting covered investment opportunities for Australia in the Telugu States, collaboration in IT sector, and new educational partnerships. Drawing on his experience as Telangana’s former Minister for Industries and IT, Rama Rao explained about Hyderabad’s rapid growth as global investment and technology destination including growing profile in IT, green energy, pharma, innovation and emerging technologies.
Both sides expressed optimism that deeper Telangana-Australia cooperation would generate greater international opportunities for local youth. Rama Rao said the discussions were aimed at strengthening the broader India-Australia strategic and economic relationship, to enhance economic relations and cultural ties between the two countries.
