KTR questions decision to give Narayanpet-Kodangal lift project to Megha and Raghava

Rama Rao alleged that the project was divided like a cake between Megha Engineering and Raghava Constructions, which is owned by Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. Hyderabad: BRS Working President K T Rama Rao has expressed strong disapproval of the government decision to give the Narayanpet-Kodangal Lift project to Megha Engineering and Raghava Constructions. He accused Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of engaging in large-scale corruption through this project.

Rama Rao alleged that the project was divided like a cake between Megha Engineering and Raghava Constructions, which is owned by Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. He criticized the decision to bypass major companies like L&T and NCC in favor of these firms, suggesting it was a blatant act of crony capitalism and misuse of power.

He questioned the rationale behind disqualifying reputed companies like L&T and NCC on technical grounds, accusing the government of conspiring to ensure the contracts went to Megha and Raghava. Rama Rao pointed out that the public would notice such blatant favoritism and corruption.

Rama Rao also highlighted the previous incident involving Megha Engineering, which caused a loss of Rs.80 crore to the government due to an accident at Sunkishala. Despite this, the company was awarded the project, raising questions about the government’s motives. He demanded an explanation for why Megha, which should have been blacklisted, was instead given this project.

He further criticized the Congress government for using Telangana as an ATM to fill their coffers, neglecting the promises made to the people. Rama Rao emphasized that the people of Telangana would hold the government accountable for this corruption.

Rama Rao vowed to continue fighting against the corrupt practices of the Congress government, ensuring that the people of Telangana are not exploited for personal gain.
