Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao has once again targeted the Congress government for using police force to suppress dissent. He questioned Congress Lok Sabha leader Rahul Gandhi over the government’s hypocrisy and his silence on the issue.
Following the deployment of police forces at his residence, Rama Rao took to X, questioning Rahul Gandhi over restrictions imposed on the BRS leaders to prevent them from visiting the University of Hyderabad (UoH), where students are protesting against the deforestation of the 400 acres at Kancha Gachibowli.
He reminded everyone that the K Chandrashekhar Rao government provided all security and protection when Rahul Gandhi came to the university twice to join students’ protests seeking justice for Rohit Vemula. “Now, the Congress government in Telangana refuses to allow us anywhere near Hyderabad Central University and deployed police to prevent us. Why this hypocrisy, Rahul Ji? What is your Govt trying to hide from the world?” he asked.
