Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Monday recalled the historic Sagarahaaram agitation, describing it as a defining moment in the Telangana statehood movement. He said the protest, marked by immense sacrifice and resilience, would forever remain etched in the people’s memory.

Taking to X, Rama Rao said agitators defied prohibitory orders, overcame hurdles and braved rubber bullets, standing firm in their demand for statehood. He recalled how lakhs of Telangana youths had chanted Jai Telangana with unshaken resolve, exposing the intrigues of the then Andhra rulers.
