Khammam: IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao has responded to a complaint on his twitter handle about collection of exorbitant charges for Remdesivir injection by a private hospital at Madhira in Khammam.

The local tahsildar Saidulu following directions from higher ups visited the hospital and inquired with the management. It was found that the hospital had not sold the injections to the person concerned but had only prescribed them for the patient by a doctor at the hospital.

It was found that the complainant, Umesh of Gampalagudem of Tiruvuru in Krishna district of AP, had purchased the injections in Hyderabad. He also told this to the media persons who contacted him on Thursday.

It was learnt that he falsely claimed that he belongs to Madhira and made the false complaint against the hospital as the management had not provided him the bills related to treatment of one of his family members.
