Jangaon: MAUD Minister K T Rama Rao, who has been resolving grievances and requests of people from across the State using social media platform, responded to a tweet seeking help to avail Rythu Bima past midnight on Tuesday.
According to sources, one Kathula Suvarna, a resident of Siripuram village of Lingala Ghanapuram mandal in the district, died a few months ago. Following this, the kin of Suvarna had applied for Rythu Bima as she owned four acres of land. But the application was rejected due to some technical reasons. Giving details, her son Kathula Kaushik put out a tweet and tagged the Minister around 7 pm on Tuesday and pleaded with him to help them out.
Responding to this, Rama Rao sent a message to Jangaon District Collector Nikhila around midnight to enquire into the matter and do justice.. The officer called up Kaushik over phone around 1.14 am on Wednesday and got the details. When contacted, Nikhila said she has asked the officials concerned to visit the village and enquire into the matter and submit a report to her. “I can give you the reasons for the rejection of the application only after getting the official enquiry report,” Nikhila told ‘Telangana Today’.
