Hyderabad: Taking a dig at the unholy alliance between the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress, BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao recalled that exactly one year ago, on September 28, 2024, ED teams had searched the house of the Congress Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy house in Hyderabad.

Quoting media reports at the time, he said two currency counting machines were taken inside the Minister’s house by the officials during the raid. But since then, nothing has happened. No case was filed, no arrests made, and not even a simple press release came out from the ED.

Pointing out this silence in a post on social media platform ‘X’, he said the raids and their quiet end show how BJP and Congress work together behind the scenes. “What better proof do we need of their unholy alliance?” he asked.

In a sarcastic note, he congratulated Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and the ED team, stating they deserved praise for running a perfect “washing machine” – a term he used to mean turning black money into white money without any trouble.

The minister and his party have stayed quiet too. No one from Congress or ED has spoken about what was found or why the probe stopped, he added.
