Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao launched a blistering attack on the Revanth Reddy-led government, for neglecting people’s welfare, while pushing disastrous policies. He pointed out that common people were suffering due to the indifference of the State government.

Taking to X, Rama Rao said people in Telangana were left homeless due to the recent heavy rains and also due to the demolitions carried out by the State government in the name of encroachments. “One is natural disaster, while the other is a Revanth Reddy-mark disaster. What’s common? Ordinary people left on the streets. While those in need are abandoned, this government is busy throwing other voiceless citizens onto the roads. Is this what you call the people’s governance? Shame!” he remarked.

The BRS working president also raised alarm over reports that the Revanth Reddy government plans to obtain a Rs 10,000 crore loan by mortgaging 400 acres of land meant for IT and allied industries in Hyderabad. He warned that such a move would jeopardise the future of Telangana’s youth, as it would restrict use of the land for allocation to promote establishment of new industries and creation of job opportunities.

“I demand the immediate withdrawal of this dangerous proposal,” he asserted. He urged the government to rethink its priorities and focus on development rather than mortgaging the State’s future for short-term financial gains.
