KTR slams Congress after child falls into open manhole in Hyderabad
BRS working president KT Rama Rao criticised the Congress government after a child fell into an open manhole in Hyderabad. He highlighted negligence, inter-departmental blame games among GHMC, HYDRAA, and HMWSSB, and accused CM Revanth Reddy of indifference toward civic governance
Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao criticised the Congress government after a child fell into an open manhole in the city on Thursday, questioning negligence and lack of coordination in the Municipal Administration department. He said the child narrowly escaped with life thanks to timely action by passersby, but the incident exposed a collapse of civic governance.
“Are you running a government or a circus?” he asked the Congress.
Rama Rao said the three wings of the Municipal department, including GHMC, HYDRAA and HMWSSB, were busy shifting blame instead of taking responsibility. “GHMC said it was HYDRAA’s fault, HYDRAA passed it on to the Water Board, and the Water Board washed its hands off entirely,” he remarked.
Accusing Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of using the Municipal Administration department as a money-making machine, he said Hyderabad residents were being condemned to a living hell due to the government’s indifference and inter-departmental chaos.
