Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi working president KT Rama Rao launched a scathing attack on the Congress government, stating that it was betraying the people by failing to implement its key election promises.
He criticized the government for its inability to deliver on its Six Guarantees and other assurances made during the 2023 Assembly election campaign.
Stating that Telangana was now under a “bulldozer regime” instead of the promised “Indiramma Rajyam” in a post on X, he listed a series of unfulfilled promises, stating that the Congress government had failed to provide the Rs.4,000 monthly pensions for the poor, Rs.2,500 monthly payments to women under the Mahalakshmi scheme, complete farm loan waivers for farmers, Rs.15,000 annual support under the Rythu Bharosa scheme, insurance benefits for families of deceased farmers under Rythu Bima, one tola of gold for poor women who are getting married, electric scooters for female students and housing for the poor under the Indiramma housing scheme.
He said the Congress government was prioritizing demolitions over development, stating that bulldozers had reached every corner, from Hyderabad to remote villages, and from populated areas to forests. He criticized the government for sidelining its six guarantees while pushing “unwanted guarantees” that do not align with public needs, urging the people of Telangana to “wake up” and hold the government accountable.
