KTR slams Congress over farmers plight; calls BJP Telangana leaders Revanth’s personal staff
Thanking Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for highlighting farmers plight in Telangana during a discussion in the Parliament, he questioned the State BJP leaders’ silence on the issue and instead, targeting the BRS leaders for questioning the Congress's failures
Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao attacked the Congress government over the worsening farm crisis in the State. Thanking Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for highlighting farmers plight in Telangana during a discussion in the Parliament, he questioned the State BJP leaders’ silence on the issue and instead, targeting the BRS leaders for questioning the Congress’s failures.
“While I may have many issues with Finance Minister Nirmala Seetharaman and her economic policies, I am thankful to her for taking this up and raising your voice to highlight the plight of the farmers in Telangana,” he said.
Taking to X, Rama Rao stated that not even 30 per cent farmers’ loans were waived off. While farmers’ suicides are increasing, Rythu Bandhu (now Rythu Bharosa) financial support had not been released and a severe water crisis prevailed in the State.

“This is the first time in a decade the farming community in Telangana is in severe distress,” he remarked.
He also hit out at the BJP State leadership for not raising their voice in support of the farmers and instead, attacking the BRS for questioning about the Congress government’s laxity.
“Let me tell you Nirmala Sitharaman ji, your local BJP leadership is busy acting like personal staff of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy,” he said.
