Hyderabad: Exposing the double standards of the Congress party’s commitment towards the tenth schedule of the Indian Constitution, BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Thursday reminded the senior leaders of the party how the Congress in Telangana was encouraging defections and corruption.

He also pointed out how Congress MP Rahul Gandhi posed with the Constitution and how the Congress Chief Minister in Telangana was trampling upon the same.

In a strong counter to senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal, who criticised the BJP for its attempts to destabilise and topple governments by luring MLAs in reference to the developments in the Congress-ruled Karnataka, the BRS working president said both Congress and BJP were two sides of the same coin.

The Senior Congress leader had posted on X: “BJP’s insidious ways to destabilise and topple elected governments: 1) luring MLAs 2) Misusing Tenth Schedule 3) Instilling fear (ED, CBI) 4) Governors acting beyond their constitutional responsibilities…Then say : “For BJP Constitution means more than Gita” !” (sic)

In reply, the BRS working president said: “Mr. Sibal, Congress is No paragon of Virtue. BJP & Congress are two sides of the same coin…Same story in Telangana… 1) Luring BRS MLAs 2) Abusing Tenth Schedule 3) Instilling fear (Police, Vigilance) 4) Massive Corruption by CM… And @RahulGandhi Ji continues to pose with Constitution while his CM tramples it ruthlessly…” (sic)
