Hyderabad: Industries Minister KT Rama Rao took a dig at union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman over the Centre’s grand plans to privatise a few more Public Sector Units in the country.
Despite the uproar from different sections over privatisation, the Central government reportedly is working on to sale stakes in three more major PSUs during the next financial year.
On Friday, the Minister shared a copy of news report and tweeted “Didn’t know that a new flagship scheme “Becho India” has been announced by Finance Minister in Budget 22! What an idea Madamji (sic)”
In the union Budget, the Central Government has reportedly set a disinvestment target of Rs 65,000 crore for the 2022-23 financial year.
