Hyderabad: Taking a dig at skeptics who sought to raise issues on the State government’s recruitment announcement, MA&UD Minister KT Rama Rao said such persons could as well apply for the 2 crore jobs that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised.

Describing the Prime Minister’s promised 2 crore jobs as ‘pakodi/gobar’ jobs, Rama Rao said those having doubts on the State government’s job notification were being foolish. He appealed to the youth and job seekers to prepare and apply for the jobs announced by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.

Participating in the inaugural of completed projects and laying of the foundation stone for more developmental works in the Uppal constituency, he asked MLA Bethi Subhas Reddy to start a coaching centre that offers free services to government job aspirants in his constituency. In Peerzadiguda, Labour Minister Ch Malla Reddy is opening a similar facility, he said. Telangana headed by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao does not indulge in divisive politics by creating a rift among people on the basis of religion and people here are treated equally irrespective of their religion and caste, the Minister said adding that a peaceful atmosphere prevails in Hyderabad and people should continue to live in harmony.

The State government has been attracting a slew of investments and the revenue generated was being utilised to benefit the poor and to develop the State, he said.

On the State government’s Growth in Dispersion policy, the Minister asked the companies to expand in the eastern parts of the city instead of restricting themselves to Western Hyderabad. Some companies were already operating from here and more establishments need to come up as a lot of infrastructures has been developed in the eastern parts.
