Former government whip Balka Suman said the government weakened the SCCL, a jewel in the crown of Telangana. He said that coal miners would teach a lesson to the Congress for weakening the coal giant. He accused the Congress ministers of exploiting the coal major for earning huge income.
Suman further said that the BRS was organising the meeting to protect the SCCL and to ensure job security and welfare for coal miners. He informed that Rama Rao would be the chief guest of the event. He urged coal miners and their family members to make the meeting a success by attending in large numbers.
According to the BRS leaders, elaborate arrangements were being made to make the meeting a grand success. Cadres from not only Peddapalli, but also Mancherial, Karimnagar, Prof Jayashankar Bhupalpalli and Jagtial will participate in the event. Activists from several parts of these districts are turning up for it.
Meanwhile, Karimnagar MLA Gangula Kalamakar said that they would attend the meeting by taking out a massive procession with 300 vehicles. He alleged that the SCCL had become a synonym for scams by Congress leaders under Congress rule. He wanted everyone to take part in protecting the coal major.
